Zinfandel planted in 1906 in San Martin. Largely untended for years until my brother and I started pruning and rehabbing. Never sprayed. The vines sit in a very windy corridor so mildew isnt an issue. Even without the fires of the harvest, I was already planning to make a rose from these grapes. The carefully extracted juice fermented and aged in some lighly used Slovenian oak puncheons. A really compelling and gorgeous wine right now.
